Big E’s Dinner Club: Starkville’s Cozy Spot for Exceptional Steaks & Southern Flavors

We are regulars & love everything about Big E’s. Sitting at the bar & being entertained by Nick is a bonus! Yes, it is small & is usually crowded, but we love it! Yes, sometimes the service is slow b/c of the crowd and the small kitchen, but we love it! Yes, it can be loud b/c it is small & usually crowded, but we love it! All the good Is amazing….have tried it all and love it all!

The food was fantastic! The ribeyes were cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. No need for steak sauce. Best steak I've had at a restaurant in starkville since Capi's closed. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer was ridiculously good. They were out of crackers and made some of the best potato chips I've ever had! Forget the crackers, stick with the chips. They paired with the mushrooms perfectly. The waitress was very attentive, almost too attentive. We waited for nothing, and as soon as empty plates hit the table they were gone. The place is small, and will fill up quick. We went a little early and wasn't any issue for us. Only negative I could give it was the raised tables are a little uncomfortable. But the food made up for it.

Hidden gem in Starkville. We have been several times and haven't been disappointed. We got the steak, that was fantastic, and hot pimento cheese appetizer. I ate way more than I should have. We will definitely be back.

Incredible service and the food is outstanding !! I was surprised with how amazing the customer service was as well as the food because first impressions are everything but I didn't feel the impression was an act because I was a new customer. The gouda grits are never going to disappoint and the adult beverages are sophisticated and delicious. Great new, quaint spot. Thank you Big E's

Had such a lovely evening here. We got the hot pimento cheese dip appetizer. Very good. Definitely enough for 4 people. We then had the shrimp Alfredo, and jerk salmon bowl. The jerk salmon bowl was delicious and very unique! Would recommend. The shrimp was very yummy and I liked the different choice in noodles. Sauce was standard and solid. Tried multiple cocktails-old fashioned, lemon drop, señor jefe and razors edge. All were good and we were asked our ice preference which is nice! The meals came with a side salad. I recommend the restaurant add cheese in the future as it’s simple. But for customers. I recommend their home made honey mustard. It was delicious. Customer service was stellar. Waiter took his time with us and offered recommendations. We sat on the shaded patio which had music, TVs, and fans. Definitely worth a try!

The menu is impressive and offers a great variety, along with an amazing selection of specialty cocktails that are as delicious as they are creative. I started with the stuffed mushrooms, and let me just say—WOW. For my entree, I had the jerk salmon bowl and it was incredible. Every bite was unforgettable. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who clearly care about making your experience memorable. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you’re truly missing out. I can’t recommend it enough—this is a must-visit spot in town!

Mme and wife were in Starkville yesterday and came across this hidden gem. Their sausage appetizer and their jerk salmon bowl was off the hook. The waiter acted like he enjoyed his job with is rare these days. I wish I could give them a higher score
